Every aspect of a person’s life impacts their health. I enjoy getting to know my patients, understanding their lives, and teasing out where illness comes from. As a naturopathic doctor, I treat whole people, not diseases. I do have particular interests in gastrointestinal, autoimmune (rheumatic), and sleep issues.
That said, there are many conditions which naturopathic medicine is particularly well-suited to address. Here is a by-no-means-exhaustive list of conditions that are particularly amenable to naturopathic treatment either alone or as a complement to conventional medicine.
DISCLAIMER
Please understand that I can only diagnose and treat illness in people in Vermont, where I am licensed to practice naturopathic medicine. In Massachusetts, where the bill licensing NDs has passed but not yet fully implemented , I am much more limited in my approach and cannot and do not practice medicine without a license. You can find more information regarding nationwide licensure of naturopathic doctors here.
